You know that you're losing interest in your camera when...
- You see a picture on it that you meant to delete almost 2 weeks ago.
- The last time you took a picture with it was almost 2 weeks ago.
- The last pictures that were uploaded from it onto the computer were uploaded by your parents.
- That last uploading was a month ago.
- The camera is begging you to give it new batteries.
- You no longer play with the camera and take weird pictures with it like you used to.
- Your blog has been empty of pictures for 2 months.
- You start trying to plug the USB cable that you use to upload pictures into the place that you put CD's and DVD's into.
I think these are some of my best pictures yet, color and effects wise at least. Oh, and that's my aunt's carpet, by the way. OK, so maybe I 'm playing with my camera more than I thought I was... Sorry that I haven't been posting as much lately...maybe it's school...or something. I don't know. I guess that its the lack of things to post about...maybe.

Jelly Telly...almost...here
Remember Jelly Telly, the thing that I posted about a few months ago? Well, at first it was supposed to be here Friday, then today, and now possibly tomorrow, if not in a few hours. Most people who visited Phil Vischer's blog within the last few hours are going nuts with the suspense. We have all been pushing refresh, refresh, refresh... on the front page of the website that for the past hour or so has said "This site is under maintenance, please come back later" and on Mr. Vischer's blog to see if he has given us an update. The suspense is getting pretty intense! I got to see a few minutes of video earlier because something weird was happening, and it was really awesome and funny! Unfortunately, it only lasted for a few short minutes.
Just to revive your interest in Jelly Telly, let me re post the demo video.
I might as well give you the link to Phil Vischer's blog so you can see for yourselves exactly how crazy it's getting over there. philvischer.com

Adventures In Repairing DVD Scratches (Part 2)
So I tried to fix our copy of "The Wonderful Wizard Of Ha's" because it was scratched really, really badly. I tried bananas and toothpaste, at it didn't work. So I just a few minutes ago, I tried another method that involved diet coke, paper towels, peanut butter, and baking soda. It did not work. I don't really know why. I think it's time to head to eBay.

I just had to do this...
I am blogging this from my mom's phone! As you can imagine, it is taking me about 5 to 10 minutes to write these few short sentences. What a world we live in.

I am so ready for Christmas. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
OK, so it may be mid-October, but I'm already catching myself singing Christmas songs like "The Christmas Song," "Jingle Bell Rock," "What Child Is This?" and I've been singing "Silent Night" all year long.
I think it started about mid-July, not too long after the Fourth of July, when I had a dream where band had started back up and it was September and there were already playing Christmas songs playing on the radio.
I think it may also have something to do with the fact that we've been working on Christmas songs in band.
Hmmm...
In my mind, though, I think it would probably be better to skip Halloween and have Christmas first. OK, so maybe it might be better to skip to Thanksgiving first, and then have Christmas...I don't know...
Maybe it would be better if I just tried to not get into the Christmas spirit in the middle of July. Actually, more like in January (although it's usually about August)...What in the world is happening to me?!?

Interview With George Muller
I made this interview for my Sunday School class a few years ago. We had to give a report about our favorite missionary, and my dad helped me make this. I made the video so I could put it on my blog. Not the best video I ever made, but I tried my best.

DO invite your friend over for a slumber party.
DON'T hurt your foot and get skin taken off on the closet door that has become unhinged while you are cleaning your bedroom in preparation for the party.

Yay yay yay yay yay YAY!
Tomorrow is my birthday! I am really, really excited!
My friend came over Friday night and we had a lot of fun! Yesterday my mom and I went to a tearoom called "A Spot For Tea" and had lunch. It was really good.
Oh, and the DVD thing isn't going too well. I got some money for my b-day, so I think I'm just going to get a new copy.

Adventures In Repairing DVD Scratches (Part 1)
Months ago, our copy of the Veggie Tales episode The Wonderful Wizard Of Ha's was scratched really badly. I mean, beyond repair.
(This picture doesn't do it justice. There were more scratches than that.)

Or at least, so I thought.
Saturday night, Keegan tried to watch the DVD, and though it didn't go to the menu and the end wouldn't play, it basically worked.
Then I realized that there might be some way to get rid of the scratches. I asked my dad if he knew of any, and he said that he didn't but that we could look it up on the Internet. So I did, and I found out that (among other things) you can use toothpaste to remove those annoying scratches! I tried it an hour or two ago.
I used a new tube and applied it few times.

I tried it 3 or 4 times, the last time waiting a few minutes to see if that would do anything, but all to no avail.
So I tried again, this time with another kind of toothpaste.

Again, it didn't work. It did, however, remove a few of the smaller scratches (at least I think it did).
So I looked it up on the Web again, just to make sure I was doing it the right way. Along the way, I found another method for removing scratches involving toothpaste, peanut butter, seltzer water and paper towels. I'm probably going to try it, so I'll let you know what happens.
On a side note, the VBS musical was last week, the video that I made was shown and I gave out DVDs of it, we (the VBS choir) got to lead worship in church Sunday morning, my birthday is next Monday, my friend is coming over to spend the night on Friday night and I will be working in the 2nd grade Sunday School class again this next school year!
Oh, and get this: you can use a banana to repair DVD scratches!

Dreams
Last night, I had a dream that band had started again and then it was the beginning of September and they were already playing Christmas music on the radio.
The night before last I had a dream where my mom and I went to this tea room called A Spot For Tea (which is where my mom and I are going to eat lunch for my b-day) and somehow there was something scary going on, but I don't remember anything else.

Not many words in my mouth today
I don't really have much to say on this blog post, except that my cousin (my cousin's daughter actually) turned 2 years old the week before last week, my aunt turned 50 yesterday, I saw Tomato Sawer and Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue (a.k.a. Huckleberry Larry) last week (it was awesome!), the VBS video that I am making is almost finished (just a few little things left to finish up this week), the qubo picks (Zimmer Twins movies that will be shown on TV) will be annouced in about 4 weeks and I feel pretty confidant that one of mine will be chosen, and Justin, you won the vocabulary contest because no one else entered. Here are the meanings of the words.
- Sybarite - a person devoted to pleasure and luxury (according to Wikitionary)
- Juxtapose - to place side by side or close together
- Chicanary - deception by trickery
- Moiety - a half or a part, portion, or share
- Soporific - drowsy
And that is all that I have to say today.

A New (and silly!) Blog
Tressa and I just started a new blog at twosistersstories.blogspot.com where we are going to write silly stories like the game where one person tells one part of the story and another person tells the next part of the story etc. I will probably post some poems and stories that I write too.
I get to start making my VBS video tomorrow night!

The 4th Of July
Wednesday night we went to a 4th of July thing at our church. It was really fun. There was a bouncy castle and an inflatable obstacle course and we had hotdogs and hamburgers and chips and watermelon and snowcones and popcorn. There was also a HUGE tent and one of those things were one person sits and someone else tries to hit the target and if you hit the target then the person who is sitting in the chair falls into the water. It was FUN! Here are some pics.

Mema spent the night with us the night before the 4th of July, and then the next day we took her home. We went to a friend's house and swam and ate pizza and did fireworks. Here are some pics of the fireworks.

We saw the American Girl Kit movie today and I really, really liked it! Oh, and I get to start making my VBS video this Wednesday!
Vocabulary hints coming soon...

Vocabulary Challenge
The other day, I got this really cool planner that has a list of "100 Words That All High School Students Should Know," and a thing were you can learn three words a day.
Well today, I was quizzing my dad on the meaning of some of the words. It was fun.
I have a challenge for everyone today. The first person to give the correct definition to each of these words without using a dictionary or an online resource will be dubbed, "Person With The Biggest Vocabulary That I Know."

I waited waaaaaay too long to blog about this...
I should have blogged about this a long time ago...Two weeks ago (yes two weeks!)
Keegan and Mathias and Tressa and I went to our grandparents house in Altus. We went skating, saw Prince Caspian again, rode bumper cars and go karts at a mini amusement park, went to this park called "Imagination Station," and went swimming.

Fun with the Slip 'n Slide

Oh, and I have been given permission to make a video about VBS! It's going to be a lot of fun!

Another Must-See
The other day, I made a movie on the Zimmer Twins website called Prince Zaspian, obviously inspired by Prince Caspian. Well, today I got on the Zimmer Twins website and saw that Prince Zaspian has been made a Must-See movie, and not alot of movies are chosen to be Must-Sees! Here is a link to Prince Zaspian.

All-Star Family Camp
We are back from All-Star Camp. We had a worship service when we got there, then we went outside and had a bonfire. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores and played sports. I played volleyball, and we played until 10 or 11 p.m., then we went to bed. I did not sleep at all. I was way too excited! The boys and the girls were in separate rooms in a cabin.
The next morning, we got up at around 6 a.m., and then we had breakfast at 8. Afterward, we went to a worship service, and then after lunch we went swimming in the lake.
Me and my roommate, Payge.

Tressa and Payge riding in one of the boats

I had to save Tressa from floating down the river, and I have the cuts and scratches from the rocks to show for it.
I ended up having even more scratches after we went swimming again later.

They have this the called the Blob, which is this big blow up thing where one person jumps on it, then another person jumps on it and makes the other person fall off. It looked pretty fun, but I didn't do it.

Then we did the Splatter Barn, which is non competitive paintball.

Then we went back to our room to get dressed for our "Night At The Oscars" theme night. I was Susan Pevensie from the Chronicles Of Narnia, and Tressa was Lucy Pevensie. Keegan was Indiana Jones, Mathias was an Olympic swimmer, and my mom was Beatrix Potter.

We had dinner, then we took our costumes off and had a worship service. Then we went to bed. I actually went to sleep this time!
This morning, I got up around 7:30 a.m. and we had breakfast. We then went on the Zipline, which is the tallest in Oklahoma.

Then we had another worship service, and then we left. I didn't want to leave. We left around 12:20 and got back around 3:35.
Some of my favorite pics from this weekend
